DID YOU WORK WITH WILLIAM MARLOW?

Our specialist asbestos claims team has been instructed by the family of the late William Marlow who sadly developed and died from mesothelioma, an asbestos-related cancer.

We are investigating how William may have come into contact with asbestos during his working life. We are interested in speaking to anyone who may have worked with William at these companies:

  • Garrett J & Son Ltd between 1967 – 1970
A building company where William worked on building sites as a labourer, including demolition of a bank in Bromley.
  • Garton Sons & Co Ltd in 1967/68
A sugar works in Battersea where William worked as a boiler man.
  • Standard Telephones and Cables Ltd between 1970 – 1982
A manufacturer of telephone and telecommunications related equipment, where William worked as a wireman.

Mr Marlow’s family are appealing to anyone who worked at the companies at the relevant time or worked with William to come forward and tell us what they remember.

If you have any information that may assist please contact Nadia Toor:

My dad Sidney Draper worked at STC in the wiring division, he died from mesothelioma some years ago, STC paid my late mother compensation.
I also worked for STC 1973-1979 in the computer department. I don’t know if I can help in any way, but I do know before my dad’s claim there were previous claims. At the inquest they said my dad contracted asbestos in 1958, which was the year I was born. I had to message when I saw this and I also feel I recognise the face in the picture, possibly from the STC social club.
Having been through this with my late mum and dad I had to message.

My father worked at STC in Sidcup during those years. He died of lymphoma 2012. I do remember him being asked by the doctor’s if he had worked with asbestos.
