WITNESS APPEAL: DID YOU WORK AT LAINGS SHIPYARD IN SUNDERLAND IN THE 1970s?

Author headshot image Posted by , Solicitor

Our specialist asbestos diseases team has been instructed by the family of a lady who sadly recently died from mesothelioma, an asbestos related cancer.

We are investigating how the Deceased may have been exposed to asbestos during her working life. The Deceased worked at Laings Shipyard as a cleaner in the 1970s and worked on the ships, cleaning up after the tradesmen who were fitting the ships.

The Deceased’s family are appealing to any one who may have worked at the shipyard in any role at the time to come forward and tell us what they remember.

If you have any information that may assist, please get in touch.
