The end of the annual return, PSC Register – what is it and what changes will be made?
From 6 April 2016, all UK companies (other than those subject to financial services requirements and certain listed companies) and LLPs will be required to keep a ‘Persons with Significant Control’ register (“Register”).

The Register will identify and make public the ultimate beneficial owners and controllers of a company. From 30 June 2016, the Register will be open for public inspection and searchable at Companies House on a central database.
The changes are a consequence of the Small Business Enterprise and Employment Act 2015 (the “Act”). The aim of the Act is to create greater transparency in the ownership of companies.
We have prepared a guidance note summarising the Regulations and what the changes mean for your business.
