Support for manufacturers

This month, our Technology & Media team bring you a guest post from the Manufacturing Advisory Service, an organisation many manufacturers will doubtless find an invaluable resource.

What MAS does

The Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS) provide a national service delivered locally by experienced advisers, who help manufacturers to grow their business.

MAS advisers can work with manufacturers at a strategic level to create business and product strategies. They are equally at home working with shop-floor teams to improve productivity and help them to maximise profitability in their own business and supply chains.

For small or medium sized manufacturers in England, many of the MAS events, workshops and services are free and supplemented by appropriate grant funding.

How MAS works with manufacturers

MAS will provide a free business review. Having identified priority areas, your local MAS adviser may then be able to offer grant funding to contribute towards improvement costs or projects. A simple grant application form can be completed during the review.

Arc Energy Resources and Pipex px® are just two examples of businesses that are thriving after working with MAS.

“I don’t think that any manufacturer could fail to benefit from MAS. They provide support from both the top down and the bottom up and gave us the confidence we needed to go forward and grow the business.” Alan Robinson, Managing Director, Arc Energy Resources

“The support of MAS has been second to none and invaluable in helping us to grow the business. I am yet to meet another organisation that embraces your best intentions and develops them into tangible and deliverable goals.” Jon Barr, Operations Director, Pipex px®
