Breast surgery compensation lawyers

When cosmetic breast surgery goes wrong, the consequences can affect you both physically and emotionally. Rather than seeing the improvements you were expecting, you may be left in severe pain and with disfigurements such as scarring or a lack of symmetry.

Some of the circumstances that may provide grounds for a compensation claim include:

  • Bleeding into the breast tissue causing swollen, painful breasts
  • Infection which can lead to scarring
  • Visible implants
  • Reduction/loss of nipple sensation
  • Capsular Contracture
This is where the layer of scar tissue that the body normally grows around the implant contracts, resulting in the implant being hard or a different shape. This can lead to pain and the implant may need removal/replacement

Our lawyers will guide you through the process of receiving compensation for your failed breast surgery. We understand breast augmentation procedures, and our team of experts is industry recognised.

If you feel that you have been subjected to negligent breast surgery, an award of compensation can contribute towards any financial burdens you have suffered or are likely to suffer in the future. This includes the compensation for the negligence, as well as compensating you for pain, suffering, and emotional distress.

Please contact us and we will be able to discuss your potential claim further and answer any extra questions you may have.

Our team is ranked in the top tier by both leading Legal Directories (Legal 500 and Chambers) and many individuals in the team are ranked as Leaders in their field. This means that the department and the people within it are experts.

Royds Withy King Medical Negligence Client

By making a cosmetic surgery claim, your settlement will take into account what is referred to as “pain, suffering and loss of amenity”, as well as the cost of any corrective treatment you need, loss of earnings and travel expenses, amongst others.

Where corrective or remedial treatment is necessary and appropriate this will be taken into account in your settlement.

This depends on a number of factors – for example whether the Defendant is denying there was negligence, whether you need remedial treatment, whether the case needs the input of medical experts and whether the case eventually ends up going to court. Your solicitor will be able to assess these factors and let you know roughly how long it will take.

Aside from the above, most simple cases should be dealt with within 18-24 months. Although complicated claims may take longer, it is very rare for any case to take more than three years.
