Start-ups and investment capital lawyers

Our corporate lawyers offer a range of advice and assistance for clients starting a business including advising on business structures and the appropriate business vehicle.

Our lawyers advise on matters including start-up capital, compliance with statutory requirements, service contracts, terms of business and articles of association and shareholders’ agreements. We offer a number of fixed price services to start-ups so as to enable management of legal spend.

Our lawyers also frequently advise companies and founders on taking early stage, growth and development capital investments. The team acts for a number of high-growth businesses and our private equity lawyers act for angel, private equity and venture capital investors meaning we understand the issues from the company’s and the investor’s perspective. We advise on various investment reliefs and structures including SEIS and EIS investments, mezzanine finance and loan note instruments.

We have established relationships with experienced corporate finance advisors who can work with our clients to source and secure investment and tax advisors who can work with clients to ensure tax efficient investment structures.
