Royds expand life sciences department with new hire

Dipti has more than ten years experience from working in the intellectual property and patents group of Taylor Wessing LLP and she has subsequently worked in the public and regulatory group at Wragge & Co, and as in-house legal counsel at the Health Protection Agency (HPA).

Dipti graduated from the University College London (UCL) with a first-class degree in Physiology and Pharmacology. She has completed the CPE/PDL and LPC from the College of Law and she also holds a diploma in intellectual property law and practice from the University of Bristol.

As part of the Public Law and Regulatory Team at Wragge & Co, Dipti specialised in pharmaceutical regulatory law and healthcare law. For example she worked closely with the Health Authority of Abu Dhabi in drafting laws for a licensing regime for pharmaceutical products in Abu Dhabi.

Much of Dipti’s contentious work has been of very high value multi-party (mainly pharmaceutical) patent litigation in the High Court and Court of Appeal and she has been the lead Associate with conduct of the matter in a large number of high profile cases.

Dipti joins former HPA colleague Thomas Bjorn in the life sciences department at Royds who said: “We are delighted to welcome a solicitor of Dipts’s calibre, who has extensive experience and expertise in the field of life sciences.

The appointment of Dipti shows our commitment to develop and grow the department, ensuring that we continue to provide the very best legal advice to our clients in the pharmaceutical, biotech and medical devices industries.”

Dipti added: “I’m delighted to be joining such a dynamic and comprehensive law firm with clients across the globe.

I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to help its continual expansion and development.”
