Nial is a Senior Associate in our real estate team with over twenty years experience advising on a wide range of property transactions and issues. Nial’s expertise covers retail, offices, industrial, warehousing and distribution, hotels and restaurants, and property development.

About Nial

Transactions that Nial has been involved in include:

  • disposal of land for the construction of Gablecross Divisional Police Headquarters, including section 106 agreement and land option
  • head office relocation of national retailer
  • acting for national retailer in several substantial retail property transactions throughout the country
  • acting for landlords on lettings of units on industrial estates
  • acting for tenants on acquisition of large storage and distribution premises
  • land options and overage agreements for development land
  • transfer of property into private pension schemes.

Property transactions can be complex and highly technical and, when acting for a client, you hope that having overcome all the challenges, you have done a good job for them. But what really matters is what your client thinks. For me, the best part of being a solicitor is dealing with property matters and is having a client come back to me when they next need advice. Then I know that I’ve given them the service that they want. One thing to remember always is that you’re only as good as your last job, so there is no room to be complacent!
