About Matthew

Before joining Royds Withy King, Matt worked for Airbus and BAE Systems as a systems engineer on a number of significant aerospace and naval projects.

Having always had a keen interest in the law he decided that the moment was right to make a career change. Matt obtained his Graduate Diploma in Law from the University of the West of England in 2015 whilst working at Airbus and then went on to complete his LPC (part time) at UWE for which he was awarded a distinction.

He also has a BA in English Language and Literature from the University of Leeds and an MSc in Information Technology from UWE.

Interests

Outside of work, Matthew enjoys traveling, screenwriting, and ultrarunning.

Many firms tout themselves as having a collegiate culture but RWK genuinely seems to provide this. I have never felt so welcome and there is a caring, human feel to the place. I am really looking forward to developing my legal career at a firm that has such a clear-sighted view of how they want to grow and develop in a global environment that is mired in so much uncertainty. I feel privileged to be a part of this community and look forward to contributing to the evolution of Royds Withy King.
