About Maria

Maria joined RWK Goodman in 2019 and works in the Swindon office, in the Family law team.

Maria is part of the Family law team and specialises in matrimonial practice areas, with a particular focus on finances in high net worth matters.

She joined RWK Goodman in 2019, after eight years as head of Family at Herrington Carmichael. After training at Charles Russell and being retained for four years, Maria went on to work at Moore Blatch and Rooks Rider.

Maria has worked on a range of cases including HMRC fraud investigation and complex matters across multiple jurisdictions. Notable cases include working with a Russian client in France whose husband had oil interests in the Middle East, and a Spanish client with inherited assets in Spain whose spouse jointly held property in London with his family.

Memberships

Maria is a member of Resolution as well as The Law Society.

"Maria has a real knack for cutting through often very voluminous and complex material to identify the real issues in the case, and she brings both a healthy pragmatism and a refreshing creativity when trying to find solutions to challenging disputes. She goes above and beyond for clients, she is able to explain difficult concepts and information in a way that clients can understand and appreciate, and as a result clients love her and trust her advice completely. I have been extremely grateful for Maria's invaluable hard work and analysis on each of the matters we have worked on together, and in which she has often identified important points or angles which others in the case have missed."
