Fran graduated with a Law degree in 2015 and obtained a distinction in her LLM studies in Professional Legal Practice alongside completing her Legal Practice Course in 2016.
Prior to joining Royds Withy King, Fran worked at a Bristol law firm where her training largely focused on dispute resolution and where she gained a range of experience in commercial and property litigation. In this role, Fran attended various events and presented seminars on behalf of the firm, as well as conducting her own court advocacy.
Fran joined our Dispute Resolution and Health & Social Care teams, working collaboratively with senior solicitors on both commercial disputes and contentious healthcare matters. She has acted for adult social care providers in recovering care fees and dealing with derogatory comments about their business from relatives of their service users and former employees.
Fran’s experience includes:
- contractual disputes
- debt recovery
- business disputes: breach of directors’ duties, defamation, unfair prejudice
- contentious health and social care matters and the regulation of providers by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Fran is a member of The Law Society and Bristol Young Professionals.
Outside of work, Fran enjoys playing netball, baking and travelling.
