Chris has over 18 years’ experience of dealing with client issues relating to employment law, professional negligence, commercial contract disputes and company and partnership matters. He is also recognised by Chambers & Partners UK as a “Leader in his field“.
Chris’s experience of commercial disputes includes:
- director and shareholder disputes
- commercial and contractual disputes
- debt recovery and issues relating to bankruptcy, liquidation, receivership and corporate insolvency
- intellectual property, copyright and employment contractual disputes.
Chris trained at Royds Withy King and qualified in 1985. During his career at Royds Withy King he has not only had client facing roles, but also been an active member of the senior management team, including a three-year period as Business Development Director. He is an elected member of the Board and remains actively involved in a number of firm-wide initiatives.
As part of his personal commitment to raising funds for charity, in 2011 Chris attempted to climb Mount Kilimanjaro. The initiative was not without incident: Chris ended up in hospital with a combination of altitude sickness and acute dehydration. Naturally disappointed on not reaching the summit having come so close, Chris still managed to raise over £25,000 for his chosen charity, Help for Heroes.
