Ben is a specialist medical negligence lawyer with a particular expertise in claims of maximum severity and complexity. He deals with a range of claims for patients who have suffered life changing injuries in the course of their medical treatment, or as a result of cosmetic surgery.

To say Thank You is such a small thing but it is truly felt in so many ways.  For all your advice, care and concern and in the highly professional manner in which you have 'seen me through' all aspects of my case. I feel that we could not have gone to either a better firm or had such sincere, helpful advice and representation.

Royds Withy King Medical Negligence Client

I have nothing but praise for Ben Lees of [Royds] Withy King in regards to the way my claim for dental negligence was handled by him. He was extremely knowledgeable and really patient when explaining the complexities and implications of my case and was never too busy or self important to take my calls!! I was delighted to secure a settlement in excess of what was expected by myself and Counsel's expectations. I would highly recommend him to anybody needing medical law advice.

I would definitely recommend [Royds] Withy King to anyone in a similar situation and would have no hesitation in approaching them myself in the future, should I require their services again.

I can't express how grateful I am to you for all your help to get this result. I was really nervous about bringing a claim but you've made the process a lot easier than I expected it to be and have been very patient and understanding throughout.

About Ben

After graduating with an honours degree in Law, Ben attended Law School in London where he obtained a Post-Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice and a Distinction in Personal Injury and Medical Negligence Litigation. Since then, Ben has practised exclusively in the field of medical negligence.

Prior to joining Royds Withy King, Ben worked in the Medical Negligence Department of a large national firm. He joined Royds Withy King in 2010.

Ben deals with a wide range of medical claims, and has a particular expertise representing patients who have suffered life changing injuries. His main areas of interest include spinal injury claims, Erb’s Palsy claims, emergency medicine claims, and claims involving the misdiagnosis and mistreatment of cancer. He is also well regarded in the field of cosmetic surgery claims and cosmetic dentistry claims, and is often approached by local and national newspapers to provide expert commentary on these issues.

Memberships

Ben is a member of Action against Medical Accidents (AVMA), the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL), the Acquired Brain Injury Forum for London (ABIL), and the Medico-Legal Society of London.

I have always been interested in the relationship between medicine and the law. As a practice area, medical negligence is complex and intellectually stimulating, but - more importantly - it is people-focused. The most rewarding aspect of what I do is building relationships with my clients, understanding their needs, and fighting their corner to obtain the best possible outcome for them.
