New property disputes lawyer for Royds Withy King

property disputes lawyer

Royds Withy King has strengthened the Property Disputes team in Bath with the appointment of Sarah Taylor.

Sarah joins Royds Withy King as an associate from Bevan Brittan solicitors in Bristol, where she helped NHS Trusts, housing associations and other clients to resolve their property disagreements.

From warring neighbours to disputes involving commercial landlords and their tenants, Sarah brings significant experience to the team. Commenting on her appointment, Sarah said: “Royds Withy King has a strong reputation for its property disputes work and I look forward to helping to develop this further. No two property disputes are the same so the role offers great variety and an opportunity to build close working relationships with clients in both the residential and commercial property sectors.

“I am pragmatic in my approach and always keep an eye on the commercial reality of the situation as well as the legal complexities to ensure my advice is grounded and that clients understand the implications of the options available to them. Where possible, we will try to find alternative ways of settling disputes without resorting to the courts.”

Partner Caroline Preist added: “We are delighted to welcome Sarah to our growing team. Sarah is specialising in long leasehold work, including enfranchisement, the right to manage, renewing, extending and ending leases and service charge disputes. She has hit the ground running and our clients are already benefiting from her knowledge and experience in this evolving area of the law. In her spare time, Sarah is a keen runner and cyclist and will be a great addition to our sporty fund-raising teams who do so much to support local good causes.”

Royds Withy King’s Property Disputes team acts for a wide range of clients, and has particular expertise in property disputes including rent issues and payment disputes, eviction advice including evicting squatters, repairs and dilapidations, rights over land, boundary disputes, restrictive covenants and joint ownership issues.
