A new chair for RWK Goodman’s board

UK Top 100 law firm RWK Goodman has announced the appointment of Louise Fleming as non-executive chair of its board – the first time this role has been filled externally.

Louise has extensive strategic, financial and governance experience in the professional services sector and has worked in the South West, London and internationally. Louise previously headed up the professional services sector and the South West region at Barclays. She is currently a partner with Aretai LLP, a management consultancy which specialises in helping organisations, teams and individuals realise their potential. Louise also has board level experience, working with Bath Spa University.

Graham Street, managing partner at RWK Goodman, said: “I’m delighted to welcome Louise as our non-executive chair and I look forward to working with her. Louise is a highly talented individual with fantastic experience in helping firms like ours lead and manage change. The market for legal services is changing rapidly and Louise’s experience will add an important external perspective as we refocus the business for the benefit of current and future clients.”

Louise said: “RWK Goodman stands out thanks to its growing national reputation as an ambitious firm built on the calibre of its people and the strength of its client relationships. I’m looking forward to working with my fellow board members and the senior management team to deliver a robust growth strategy in line with clients’ expectations of a UK Top 100 law firm.”

Other recent appointments to RWK Goodman’s senior management team, in newly created roles, include Jessica Burston as director of operations, Emma Palmer as head of risk and best practice and Natalie Birrell as head of marketing communications.
