WITNESS APPEAL: DID YOU WORK AT OR ATTEND KIDBROOKE COMPREHENSIVE SCHOOL IN THE 1970s?

Our specialist asbestos claims team has been instructed by the family of Pauline Sparkes following her death from mesothelioma, an asbestos related cancer.

We are investigating how Pauline may have been exposed to asbestos and are investigating her time working at Kidbrooke Comprehensive School in the 1970s.

Pauline Sparkes worked at Kidbrooke Comprehensive School between 1970 – 1975. She was initially called Pauline Jeffery, but became Pauline Sparkes following her marriage in 1971.  Pauline taught Sociology and Social Studies.

We are appealing to anyone who may have attended or worked at the school at the relevant time to come forward and tell us what they remember. We are particularly interested in speaking to anyone who:

  • Worked with Pauline at the time;
  • Was taught by Pauline between 1970 - 1975 and could tell us more about the areas of the school she worked in;
  • Knows about building or maintenance works at the school at the time; or
  • Can tell us about asbestos in the school.

If you have any information which may assist, please get in touch.
