Withy King prepares to run the Bath Half

Solicitors and support staff from Withy King are preparing to run the Bath Half Marathon in aid of Dorothy House Hospice.

The team of 11 comprises Nicola Cutler, Polly Sternbauer, Claire Fennell, Lydia Excell, Natalie Pring, Charlotte Newlyn, Laura Podger, Ali Cloak, Paul Daniels, Charlotte Prideaux and Helen Lucas.

They hope to raise over £2k for Dorothy House Hospice, which has been chosen by Withy King’s 180 Bath-based staff as their charity to support over the next two years.

Paul Daniels, partner and head of Withy King’s commercial property team, who will be taking part in the Bath Half, said: “This is a great event which brings everyone together to raise money for many incredible causes. For the team at Withy King, this marks the start of a series of charity sporting events which we have planned in 2016. Sport is a great leveller. It’s an excellent way of building rapport among colleagues who enjoy a mental and physical challenge, knowing their efforts will not only be enriching for themselves but will also make a big difference to Dorothy House and other worthwhile causes.”

Dorothy House delivers care to people with life-limiting illnesses, their families and carers across Bath and parts of Somerset and Wiltshire in an area which covers 700 square miles and a community of 550,000 people.

Withy King is Bath’s largest law firm employing 180 staff and partners at Midland Bridge House and Northumberland Buildings, Queen Square. The firm provides a comprehensive range of legal services to business clients as well as private individuals and their families.
