Withy King moves into flagship new offices in Bath

Withy King has completed a move from its Green Park offices to flagship new offices in the heart of the city’s commercial quarter. The move to Midland Bridge House follows the extensive refurbishment of 18,000 sq ft of office space over 4 floors to create one of Bath’s most modern and efficient working environments.

“These new offices are an important step in realising our ambition of being Bath’s leading law firm,” said Withy King’s Managing Partner, Graham Street. “Finding high quality office premises of this size in close proximity to the City Centre was never going to be easy, but we have been delighted to work with the owners of Midland Bridge House to transform this building into a first class client meeting facility and a great working environment for our staff.

“This is an important part of our on-going investment in our business, for our clients and for our people, to ensure we are best placed to meet their future needs. Client service is at the heart of everything that we do, and providing our clients, lawyers and support teams with first class meeting and working facilities is fundamental to delivering this.”

Around 100 of Withy King’s 150 Bath-based staff have moved from Withy King’s former Green Park office to Midland Bridge House which will be home for its Commercial, Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence teams as well as the firm’s central support functions. Around 50 staff will be based at the firm’s prestigious Georgian headquarters at Queen Square, which will remain home to the firm’s Private Client, Family and Residential Property, Farms and Estates teams.

The refurbishment of Midland Bridge House included the installation of sustainable features such as increased insulation, new energy efficient heating and lighting systems and showers and changing rooms for increasing numbers of staff who cycle to work. The fit out works were designed and managed by Bath-based specialists, Interaction Associates Limited, who also designed and managed the refurbishment of the firm’s Queen Square offices last year.
