Withy King advises high quality aggregates supplier on sale to industry giant

The corporate team at Bath law firm Withy King has advised the shareholders of PSV (UK) Limited on the sale of their company to Breedon Aggregates, the largest independent aggregates business in the UK.

Withy King helped to negotiate the deal on behalf of Glyn Woolley and Ed Reed whose company PSV (UK) Limited owned the sole and exclusive rights to the premium quality aggregate from Tan y Foel Quarry in Welshpool, Powys that was used in asphalt for anti skid road applications.

David Cavaliero, partner and head of the corporate team at Withy King in Bath, said:
“I am full of admiration for the two company owners, Glyn Woolley and Ed Reed, who identified that the aggregate coming out of the Tan y Foel Quarry was of a very high quality, ideal for specialist road applications, and then developed the necessary relationships within the road building industry to create the demand for the aggregate. Then, after many years of successful trading, to be able to sell the company to Breedon Aggregates is quite a success story. I was very pleased that Withy King was able to use its experience and skills to support Glyn and Ed to realise the final chapter.”

Martin Longmore and Dominic Bourquin of accountants and business advisers, Monahans, worked alongside David Cavaliero and his team at Withy King on the deal.
