The Prince’s Trust Evening of Art – 5 December 2013

Winter from Beechen Cliff (2010) by Peter Brown

Artists from all over the UK and Europe have generously donated artwork in support of this event including Sir Peter Blake, Sir Quentin Blake, Ken Howard, HRH The Prince of Wales, Diana Armfield, Rob Ryan, Nick Park, Ronnie Wood, Nick Jeffrey, Sam Wigan and Saatchi Award winners.

In 2011 The Prince’s Trust held their inaugural Evening of Art which helped raise £74,000 to support their work in the South West and this year they hope to raise even more.

The UK economy is slowly moving towards recovery, but youth unemployment still remains a huge problem. Around one in six 16-24 year olds in the South West (17%) are out of work - that’s almost 70,000 young people. This inactivity generates a host of other problems, including crime, anti-social behaviour and mental health issues.

The Evening of Art is designed to raise much needed funds to support disadvantaged young people in the South West, make positive changes in their lives and get them into work, education or training. 100% of the funds raised will go directly to the cause. All artwork will be available to view and bid for in advance of the event via www.princes-trustbathart2013.com. On the evening there will be a Silent Auction as well as a Live Auction, conducted by Tom Best of Christie’s.
