Solicitor returns home to RWK Goodman’s Family Law Team in Bath

Press release

Bath head-quartered RWK Goodman has welcomed back solicitor Laura Podger to its Family Law team in Bath.

Having qualified as a solicitor in 2018 at the firm, Laura spent a short time at Irwin Mitchell working on high-profile family law cases, before returning to RWK Goodman this month.

After starting her career at RWK Goodman as a legal assistant in the firm’s Clinical Negligence department, Laura studied for her Legal Practice Course (LPC) part-time. Upon completion, she carried out her training contract with seats in the firm’s Corporate, Private Client and Family teams.

Outside of work Laura is an Army reservist and hopes to draw on her experience to advise military personnel on the range of issues they face including pension sharing and the Armed Forces Pension Scheme.

Laura said: “I am excited to return ‘home’ to RWK Goodman where I will specialise in high net-worth divorce, financial settlements and also helping clients resolve disputes relating to children. My experience as a reservist means that I have a solid understanding of the issues that can arise and hope to offer military personnel guidance through these matters.”

Richard Ellis, Head of Bath Family Team at RWK Goodman, added: “We’re glad to welcome Laura back to the firm, bringing with her some fantastic experience. Laura’s decision to return is a testament to the fact that RWK Goodman is a great place to not only start your career but also a place to develop it too.”
