This mock tribunal hearing, organised by Royds LLP, is an ideal introduction to some important aspects of employment law. After the hearing guests can enjoy drinks and canapes once the "Tribunal" has delivered its judgment.

If you wish to attend, RSVP to Kevin James ([email protected]) by 12th November 2015 or click here.

The Claim

At the office, David Brent has dismissed the malingering and deceitful Denise Royle for gross misconduct for fiddling her bonus. Denise has cried foul and claims unfair dismissal and disability discrimination. Attempts to settle the claim via the ACAS early conciliation scheme have failed. Settlement offers and counter offers have been rejected. The battle lines are now drawn and the matter proceeds at the Employment Tribunal.

The highly motivated and ambitious David Brent puts his reputation, as the forward thrusting manager of Calls R Us on the block. Aided by his smooth city solicitors Slick Woodman & Co he intends to defeat Denise's efforts to secure wholly undeserved compensation. Denise assisted by the rather hapless Wright Mess & Co will attempt to convince the learned Judge Hangem-High QCand his colleagues of the merits of her case.
