Royds co-sponsor jewellery awards

City of London-based solicitors Royds LLP were delighted to co-sponsor the recent British Jewellers’ Association Awards.

Taking place on the 5 December, the BJA Awards flagged up excellence among the Association’s members, and highlighted companies and individuals that have excelled this year in their particular field.

Royds are the top London legal team with specialist jewellery knowledge, and can assist with all matters relating to copyright, design law, trade marks and intellectual property generally.

The awards proved particularly successful for Royds’ client Andrew Geoghegan who came away with the BJA Designer of the Year award.

Andrew, who works in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, has been described as “one of the most inspired and remarkable” contemporary designers in the UK.

He is no stranger to the awards and has won many industry plaudits for his bold and striking collections of fine quality bridal jewellery, cocktail rings, pendants and earrings – many featuring statement gemstones.

Stephen Welfare from Royds said: “As specialist solicitors to the jewellery industry, we were delighted to have the opportunity to co-sponsor the BJA Awards, which recognises the very best in jewellery across the country.

“We are very pleased that Andrew has been named the Designer of the Year. Andrew follows a long line of Royds’ clients to win such an award.”
