City solicitors to attend major jewellery event

Representatives from Royds Solicitors’ intellectual property team will be attending one of the UK’s largest jewellery exhibitions this autumn.

The unit, which represents many clients in the jewellery and luxury goods sectors, will be on hand to offer guidance at International Jewellery London.

The event, which is expected to attract over 500 exhibitors and many thousands of visitors, will take place at the Olympia London from September 6th-8th.

On the Sunday and Monday, Royds will be holding a legal advice clinic at the event and a solicitor will be available to answer questions about intellectual property rights relevant to jewellery.

Stephen Welfare, head of Royds’ IP Unit, said: “A trade show like this one is an ideal opportunity for visitors and exhibitors alike to seek advice on a range of industry related issues, and that includes intellectual property.

“For those in the jewellery industry it is very important that their IP assets are properly protected and that they receive immediate advice in the event that their rights have been infringed.”
