£9.5 million compensation for a little girl following her birth at Cheltenham General Hospital

P, who was born at Cheltenham General Hospital, suffered from a lack of oxygen when she was born and should have been delivered more quickly by emergency caesarean section.

P suffered brain damage as a result of the shortage of oxygen to her brain. She is affected by quadriplegic cerebral palsy and requires 24 hour care.

P and her family have now received a lump sum payment of £3.85 million which will enable her to purchase an adapted home and afford the best possible treatment and therapy. P will also receive yearly payments of up to £210,000 which will provide for her care for the rest of her life.
