Economic Question Time – Swindon - Swindon, 27 June 2018
The UK economy continues to make headlines on a daily basis: with Brexit now less than a year away, downward revision to our growth forecast and the continuing volatility of sterling, businesses continue to grapple with the issues and look for new opportunities locally, nationally and internationally.
Royds Withy King, HSBC and Morris Owen have teamed up to host our annual Economic Question Time event, which will provide national and international insights from a senior economist alongside a local perspective from Swindon business leaders.
The event will take place at the STEAM museum on Wednesday, 27 June, from 7.45am – 10.15am.
Our keynote speaker is Mark Berrisford-Smith, Head of Economics for UK Commercial Banking at HSBC, who will cover the macro and micro opportunities and challenges for South West businesses.
For a lively discussion informed by questions from the audience, Mark Berrisford-Smith will be joined by a panel of Wiltshire-based business leaders, opinion formers and influencers comprising of:
- Paddy Bradley, Director, Swindon & Wiltshire Local Enterprise Partnership
- Jenny Groves, Chair of the Place Board at Switch On To Swindon
- Keith Butler, Finance Director at Fish Brothers
