DID YOU WORK FOR ARMSTRONG CORK IN THE 1960s/70s OR GEORGE WIMPEY IN THE 1980s/90s?

Our specialist asbestos claims team has been instructed by the family of a gentleman who has sadly recently died from mesothelioma, an asbestos related cancer.

We are investigating how the Deceased may have come into contact with asbestos during his working life and are interested in speaking to those who may have worked with him, or worked at the same companies as him.

We are particularly interested in speaking to anyone who may have worked at the following companies:

  • Armstrong Cork in Gateshead in the 1960s/70s; or
  • George Wimpey at the Ravensworth Estate, Dunston in the 1980s/90s.

    I worked at armstrong cork for 9.5 years from 73 till 82 working in the asbestos room installing extraction ductwork for floor tilling section

    I worked for a company called Dunlop Semtex who made the same products.There were three main companies Marley. Semtex and Armstrong and they all made thermoplastics floor tiles which all contained asbestos I actually have a manual that tells you what the products were made of
