DID YOU WORK AT ICI (IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES) OR SWAN HUNTERS IN TEESSIDE IN THE 1960/70s?

Our specialist asbestos claims team has been instructed by the family of a gentleman who has sadly developed and died from mesothelioma, an asbestos related illness.

Our specialist asbestos claims team has been instructed by a client suffering from an asbestos-related disease, after working around asbestos at ICI on the Billingham site in the 1960s. He also worked at Furness Shipbuilding/Swan Hunter in the 1960s and 70s.

We are investigating how he may have come into contact with asbestos and are interested in speaking with anyone who may have worked at ICI or Swan Hunters in Teesside around this time.

We are appealing to anyone who worked for any of these companies during this time to come forward to tell us what they remember.

Please contact David Hughes on 01865 264006 or email him at david.hughes@roydswithyking.com if you can provide any information which may assist.

My father worked at ICI in Stevenage in the 1960’s he used to work the night shift and I remember how it made him look so ill, he was always so tanned and healthy but when working there he almost turned yellow and looked very gaunt. He died of Mesothelioma in his 70’s a horrifying disease to witness the suffering he endured.
