Couple Handed “Quickie” Divorce
This week, it was revealed that former Oasis star, Liam Gallagher, and his All Saints singer wife, Nicole Appleton, had been granted a “quickie” divorce.
According to reports, Nicole Appleton filed for divorce after her husband admitted to adultery during the summer of last year; with the couple living apart since the admission was made.
This week, in a High Court hearing in London, which lasted less than two minutes, the judge granted the couple a decree nisi – which can become a decree absolute, finalising the divorce, in six weeks and a day, if there are no disputes.
Whilst the couple were handed a “quickie” divorce, as family law solicitors in London, we understand and appreciate that the breakdown of a relationship and subsequent divorce proceedings are not always straightforward or quick to resolve.
