City solicitors Royds hosts retailers quiz night

City-based law firm Royds invited a string of their retail clients to a quiz evening, which took place last week.

The annual event is organised by the solicitors’ property department and once again attracted a good number of teams.

This year’s test of general knowledge was held at The Duke and Duchess, in Creed Lane – a stone’s throw from Royds’ offices. The winning team this time were Scribbler Holdings, the greetings card business with whom the law firm has a long association.

A charity raffle was also held, raising around £200 for the London Air Ambulance.

Gareth Williams, head of Royds’ property department, said: “Royds represents many businesses in the retail sector and it’s always enjoyable getting a group of clients together for a friendly competition.

“In addition, we’re pleased to have raised some money for a very worthy charity.”
