A major life sciences event, co-sponsored by Royds, took place in London last month.

From Brewer’s Yeast to Personalised Medicine was organised by the Danish-UK Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with companies such as Royds – whose corporate commercial team work closely with clients in the sector.

Around 170 delegates attended the event, which was held at the Deutsche Bank on April 23rd.

The audience heard from the representatives of several international firms including Carlsberg Foundation, Shire Pharmaceuticals, Novo Nordisk and Novo A/S.

Organisers said the programme had been prepared to appeal to companies from across the life sciences sector, regardless of their country of operations.

Thomas Bjorn, a Royds solicitor who specialises in advising life sciences clients, said: “As a law firm which works closely with the likes of biotech and pharmaceutical firms, we were delighted to be a partner in this event.

“It was an excellent evening of engaging presentations and a great chance for various representatives to get together and discuss the issues facing the industry.”

At Royds, our life sciences team is a multidisciplinary group of lawyers from across our areas of specialisation. For more information please visit our website or contact John North, Claus Andersen, Thomas Bjorn or Stephen Welfare.
