How to apply for a role at Royds Withy King

So you’ve found your dream role on our current vacancies page, what next?

Online Application

We would encourage you to submit your application for a position through our careers portal. Don’t worry – it’s quick and simple! you just need to upload your CV and fill in a few details. Your CV will then whizz it’s way to our Recruitment team to review.

Telephone Interviews

If your application meets the key criteria for the role, you will receive a call from the Recruitment team to run through your CV in more detail. This is just an informal conversation that gives you an opportunity to bring your career storey to life.

Face to Face interviews

For most of our jobs, we will invite you to our offices for 2 stages of interviews. The first will be to meet the Manager and to discuss your skills and experience in detail. It’s a great opportunity for you to find out mroe about us too so come armed with plenty of questions!

The second meeting will generally involve a more senior member of staff and someone from HR and will go into a more indepth competency interview. There is often an opportunity at this stage to have an informal coffee and chat with other member of the team you are hoping to join.

If you are applying for a senior role in one of our legal teams, you may be asked to prepare a business plan which will be your opportunity to show how you will grow and develop the position you are applying for.

Some of our roles will involve some skills testing. Your Recruiter will let you know in plenty of time if you need to prepare anything in advance.

Offer

We try to turn our interview processes around as quickly as possible so you aren’t left waiting. Your Recruiter will keep you up to date with how things are progressing. If you are successful in the assessment process, your Recruiter will be in touch by phone to talk you through the offer process.

Joining the firm

You will receive all your offer details by email and in the post. You will have points of contact in both HR and your new manager. We’ll keep in touch and give you all the information you will need, ready for your induction.
