Storms Ciara and Dennis hit the UK and countries in Europe recently, bringing a wave of damage and disruption. Strong winds and heavy rainfall caused major disruption to travel services, led to significant flooding in some parts of the country and caused a number of power cuts. This is not the first extreme weather to be reported this winter. Other highly reported events include the devastating wild fires that have been raging for months in Australia.
